Program Description
Paying your taxes got you feeling like you should probably try to save those holey jeans rather than buy a new pair?
We're learning the trendy art of Visible Mending this evening.
Rather than trying to mask the area where the item was damaged, the goal is to highlight these imperfections in a creative, eye-catching way.
Visible mending uses techniques from embroidery, weaving, sashiko, and hand sewing to turn worn out clothes into works of art. If you want to bring your own piece of clothing, that's great! We'll also have samples of worn out garments. We may not get to all of the techniques that are out there, but you'll learn a few.
Cost for needles and thread will be $5 and you get to take some home with you!
